Heart Health

There is a common misconception that when someone begins to have a heart attack, they immediately grab their arm or chest in pain. While pain in the chest, arm, shoulder, and neck are common, there can be other signs or symptoms of a heart attack, including:

Trouble breathing
Nausea or stomachache
Feeling light-headed, dizzy, or unusually tired
Breaking out in a cold sweat
Pain in the upper abdomen (above the belly button)
Sudden jaw pain

These symptoms can come suddenly or develop slowly over hours, days, or even weeks before the heart attack.

It is important to continue to educate yourself on ways to improve your heart health. The first step is seeing your Primary Care Provider for your annual physical.

Call 911 right away if you think you or a loved one may be having a heart attack.

Wishing You the Best Health and Wellness!
